Biography:
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both psychology and Sociology from the University of California Los Angeles and earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2006. She has experience working in various community mental health and inpatient settings, as well as providing crisis response as part of the Psychiatric Mobile Response Team. Staci also worked for the Los Angeles Community College District as an Adjunct Professor at Los Angeles Southwest College for seven years in the Behavioral and Social Sciences Department. She taught various Psychology courses such as Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Drug and Alcohol Studies and Group Dynamics and Lifespan Psychology.
Professional Life:
Staci has worked for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) since 2006 and is currently pursuing her PsyD from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with an emphasis in Applied Clinical Psychology. She has extensive experience working with adults and groups related to issues involving Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, Schizophrenia, trauma , self-esteem, relationships, multiculturalism, stress management and grief and loss. She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Psychotherapy, EMDR, Psycho-dynamic Therapy, Seeking Safety, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.
